Sunny Edwards will defend his IBF flyweight title against Muhammad Waseem on March 19

British IBF flyweight champion Sunny Edwards will expose his title against Muhammad Waseem in the main event of the boxing night organized by Probellum and MTK Global on March 19, a card that will have a great co-main event, see here who will star in it. About Sunny Edwards

Sunny Edwards is a 26-year-old boxer who is undefeated in 17 fights, winning 6 of them by knockout. Edwards has been recognized as an international champion for several years, however, it was in April 2021 when he became IBF featherweight world champion after defeating Moruti Mthalane by unanimous decision.

Last December, the champion successfully defended his title for the first time against Jayson Mama by unanimous decision in Dubai, fighting for the second time in his career outside the United Kingdom. His March 19 bout will also be in Dubai.

Muhammad Waseem is a Pakistani boxer who is currently ranked #1 in the WBA and #4 in the IBF flyweight division. Waseem has a professional record of 12-1, with 8 knockout victories, and will be coming off of winning his last 4 fights.

At 34 years of age, Muhammad Waseem not only has few fights as a professional, but also fails to find any outstanding fight or against any top-level boxer, being his most important victory against Giemel Magramo in 2016. The Pakistani has fought in different parts of the world, and this will be his fourth time in Dubai.

Regis Prograis in the co-main event

Former lightweight champion Regis Prograis will star in the evening’s co-main event alongside Tyrone McKenna. Prograis is highly ranked in all organizations, being the WBA’s #6 ranked challenger while McKenna is ranked #11.

Regis Prograis is an excellent American boxer with a professional record of 26 wins (22 by KO) and only one loss: to Josh Taylor by majority decision. On the other hand, McKenna has been doing well, he has a record of 22-2-1, and although he has not faced as good names as Prograis, he has a good victory over Mohamed Mimoune.
