Content creator and now professional boxer Jake Paul will face former UFC mixed martial arts champion Tyron Woodley in a rematch for an 8-round match in the cruiserweight division. This fight will be the main event of the boxing event hosted by Most Valuable Promotions and Holden Productions at Amalie Arena, Tampa, Florida, televised on Showtime PPV on December 18.

Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 2

Jake Paul is a 24-year-old American who from a very young age has been involved in audiovisual productions for different platforms, and who from 2020 made his debut as a professional boxer. His record shows 4 victories in 4 fights, against Ali Eson Gib, Nate Robinson, Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley, considering that all of his rivals made their boxing debut when facing him.

Paul’s last fight was precisely against Tyron Woodley, whom he defeated by split decision in a fight that lasted 8 rounds, and this time he will face him again in a rematch bout which arose after Tommy Fury, the agreed rival of Paul, got sick and had to leave the event. Here we leave you some images of the first confrontation between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley via Showtime.

This fight is apparently more significant for Jake Paul’s career than Woodley’s, as the former is building a boxing legacy of which he shows great ambitions, while the former UFC champion is not in his niche and he has accepted these fights more than anything for pride and money and it might be thought that unless he loses in an embarrassing way, a loss will not affect his good name built on mixed martial arts.

For this reason, a victory for Jake Paul would push him to face more renowned boxers, such as Tomy Fury, but a loss could well put an end to his illusions in this sport.
