Egar Berlanga will fight on March 19 against Steve Rolls in a super middleweight fight at Hulu Theater at MSG. Edgar Belanga next fight will be again in the United States, as usual, and this time he will face the good Canadian boxer.
ABOUT Edgar Berlanga
Berlanga is an American boxer also known as ‘The Chosen One’ who is undefeated in 18 fights, with an incredible knockout rate of 88.9%. Berlanga has over 170 fights as an amateur, and made his professional debut in 2016 in the middleweight division, later moving up to the super middleweight division in 2020.
This boxer is the current WBO NABO Super Middle champion, after defeating Marcelo Coceres last October by unanimous decision, being his most important victory so far, in addition to his victory over Demond Nicholson, in the same year. Berlanga is a young boxer of 24 years old who has shown great ability for this sport and his name resonates more and more intensely within the fans.
ABOUT Steve Rolls
Steve Rolls is a 37-year-old experienced Canadian boxer with a 21-1 professional record and a former USBA Middle title holder. Like Edgar Berlanga, Rolls also scored a win over Demond Nicholson, however, in the rise of his career he ran into Gennadiy Golovkin in 2019, falling by a fourth round knockout.
After his loss to GGG, the Canadian has achieved two consecutive victories, however, they have been against boxers of little renown, being that in fact in his career the most promoted fight was against the Uzbek, and he lost in a very convincing way.
We still don’t know if this fight will be the main event of the respective boxing event, but what we do know is that Edgar Berlanga arrives as a big favorite to win. Is Steve Rolls the best fighter for Berlanga right now? Well, despite his 2-fight winning streak, both by knockout, and even his constant activity inside the ring, he is not a boxer of much renown, mainly because he has not fought against great boxers.
