Dmitry Bivol vs Usmar Salamov

The stellar fight of the night began with two close rounds where the two boxers were measuring each other, after that it was a monologue given by the champion Dmirtry Bivol. Bivol again showed excellent boxing technique, flashing his jab throughout the fight and landing some straight forehand punches to Salamov’s face. The champion’s footwork was impeccable, which allowed him to hit with precision and get out of range of his opponent’s blows. Salamov did not show at any time qualities that would allow one to think that he could harm Bivol, and although at times he tried to lower his guard and make Bivol see that his blows were not significant, it was clear that Bivol kept the rhythm of the fight in each round.

In general terms it was a fight where the champion with a simple and practical boxing showed many more skills than the challenger, and although he did not get the knockout, his superiority was remarkable. one more victory for his record and one more warning for the light heavyweight division, where the public is still waiting to see fights between the champions.
